I have never really been a “big” breakfast person. I guess my body just doesn’t like food that early in the morning. So, most days when I don’t do intermittent fasting, then my “go-to” meal would be a quick and easy smoothie or juice like this one.
Cilantro-Lime Drink Recipe
Ingredients:
- 12 oz. of cooled purified water
- 1 lime or small lemon
- 1 generous handful of organic, washed spinach or other greens
- 1 medium handful of organic, washed cilantro (coriander)
- 1 teaspoon of local honey
Instructions:
- Add the cooled water to your blender.
- Squeeze in 1 whole, washed lime or small lemon with a citrus juicer.
- Add 1 generous handful of organic, washed spinach or other greens.
- Add 1 medium handful of organic, washed cilantro. Trim off thick bottom stems of cilantro. Retain upper stems.
- Add 1 teaspoon of local honey. (Skip this if you prefer).
- Blend thoroughly. Pour and drink within 15 minutes.
