What is Health Coaching?

Health coaching is a relatively new profession here in the UK. As a health coach I believe that each person is unique and that everything in the body is interconnected. Our body’s natural default state is one of wellness. But being surrounded by so much temptation, living in highly stressful environments, eating food that is highly processed, full of sugar, artificial colouring, preservatives, etc. No wonder our bodies cannot function in a state of wellness. It is not just about food.

As a health coach it is my job to help each client find what works best for them. Each session is client-led and it is a collaborative process where the coach and client partner together to improve the clients health. My aim is to help individuals to implement the required lifestyle and behavioral changes they need. I follow an holistic approach to support, educate, empower, and motivate each client to find simple & effective ways to improve their health, break through resistance and to overcome self-sabotage. It is my aim to help each client to become experts on their own health, taking back control over their health and to improve their whole-health and wellness!

  • In addition to nutrition and lifestyle measures, a health coach also considers the way one’s work and home routines, personal relationships, and employment satisfaction, as well as emotional and spiritual health can shape an individual’s sense of well-being.
  • A health coach will keep you accountable and help you to prioritize your health goals and to achieve them !!
